By-pass or town traffic: the right Audi schedule for Sutton
Ask two Sutton Audi owners how they use their cars and you may get very different answers. One drives from Belmont onto the A217 Sutton by-pass every morning and covers steady miles at a good speed. Another does short trips along Sutton Common Road, with its traffic calming, to the station, then parks near Trinity Church or the Civic Centre and walks. Both cars may show the same mileage, but they need different servicing.
Audi's LongLife servicing lets the car calculate the interval from how it is driven, and it suits the by-pass commuter well. Oil runs hot, moisture burns off, and a TDI regenerates its DPF without fuss. The short-trip car is better on a fixed 3-month interval, because cold running collects fuel and moisture in the oil and keeps the exhaust from getting hot enough. We look at your pattern of use, check what the car is currently set to and recommend the one that fits, then switch it if you agree.
The by-pass has its own demands. Its junctions get busy at peak times, so you get hard acceleration from a queue followed by fast cruising, which puts load through engine mounts, brakes and tyres. Heavier SUVs from the Belmont area also wear their front suspension bushes, and we check those for play at every service. Every Audi gets a full module scan, and the oil is Castrol matched to the VW approval for your engine, such as 504 00 or 507 00 on LongLife cars.
From the town centre, head east on Carshalton Road, north up West Street past Carshalton station, and on through Wrythe Green to Hackbridge, around ten minutes. Leave extra time around the one-way system on a Saturday. We give a written quote before any additional work and a 3-month warranty on repairs, and we can arrange collection if you work in town.
